Our Learning Environments
Squirrels, Hedgehogs, Rabbits and Badgers
Two Year olds
Our two year olds are in Squirrel Nursery. Your child will explore the world through play-based activities that foster their curiosity and learning. They will be developing their social skills, such as learning to share resources and play space. Their spoken language skills will be significantly enriched by playing alongside others and the adults expanding their vocabulary. Our Squirrels will be benefitting from both indoor and outdoor educational experiences.
Three Year Olds
Our three year olds are in Hedgehog and Rabbit Nursery groups. They will be extending their language, mathematical and pre-reading skills through a balance of adult-led and child-initiated learning. Within small group activities, they will be strengthening their speaking and listening skills and developing independence.
Half termly projects will expand their knowledge and understanding of the world in which they live. Outdoor learning, in our large well resourced garden, will be available daily. The Early Years Foundation Stage of learning will be delivered across both indoor and outdoor environments.
Four Year olds
Our four year olds are in Badger Nursery and this stage of learning is designed to prepare your child for the transition to primary school. Our curriculum focuses on phonics, reading, writing, and mathematics, and includes projects that integrate different subject areas. Your child will also have opportunities to develop their independence, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. Badgers enjoy Early Years Foundation Stage learning across spacious indoor and outdoor environments.
